Located 25 miles north of the historic town of Marquette and nestled on the cliffs of Lake Superior, rests the Big Bay Point Lighthouse Inn.
A great place for adults in search of a secluded retreat from modern life. This unique bed-and-breakfast inn is one of the few surviving resident lighthouses Inns in the country and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
For over a century, mariners have relied on Big Bay Point's light to guide them along this remote, dark and rocky stretch of Michigan coastline. Although automated in 1941, the romance and lore of the site are undimmed.

For more than a century, the Big Bay Lighthouse has acted as a beacon guiding mariners safely home. In 1941 the lighthouse was automated, and then in 1986 the two story brick building adjoing the tower were converted into a Bed and Breakfast.
Big Bay, Michigan has plenty to do for all seasons of the year. Play tennis at Big Bay's famous "Cracked Courts," swim in Lake Superior or take a walk along the beach. There are also plenty of great places to eat including Lumberjack Inn-Food & Spirits and Thunder Bay Inn.
